The Fundamental Error in Today's Christianity

Wrong way

Today's Christianity is wrongly focused on the carnal wellness. "Jesus for carnal wellness" is preached widely.

But is that what the Bible says? The answer is a big "No".

Then why are most Christians today believing in Christ to get material blessings?

Because of the willingness to readily believe in sugar-coated sermons (promising worldly blessings), instead of interpreting (not just reading) the word of God and finding if what's preached is approved by Jesus Himself.

So, what exactly Jesus intended to convey?

Well, you've got to read (and interpret) the Bible for that. But for now, let's see a quick summary of the truth (which you're welcome to verify with the Bible).

The Truth in Short

Curious to know the truth?

Well, you've pretty much heard it partially from famous philosophers, and you must have also felt it deep inside your heart as well.

The truth (which the carnal-minded Christians probably refuse to believe) is - the life in this world is temporary. So the material blessings are also temporary.

We're all going to leave the earth on one day. So what's the point in being obsessed about the temporary things in life?

Every aspect of life on this earth is temporary. The one that is about to come is permanent for our souls.

To understand this better, one must see themselves as a soul in a human body. When a person dies, it's just that their soul leaves their body.

The body will decay, but it's the soul that will be judged by God for its entry into heaven or hell.

The carnal-minded believers are deceived into giving more value to the temporary body, and forget the soul (which could have eternal life through Jesus).

The message of Jesus is unattractive for carnal-minded believers (as Jesus promised trouble in this world in John 16:33), but is attractive for the true followers of Christ as their peace is in Him, despite the sufferings during their temporary life on earth.

Why Most Preachers Don't Share this Truth?

Wondering why most preachers are not sharing the truth?

It's either because they themselves are carnal-minded believers or they want to preach what a worldly crowd wants to hear!

These preachers failed to understand that the message of Christ is not a mere motivational or positivity talk.

The Rule of Thumb in Differentiating the False Teachings From the Truth

Read the Bible, and most importantly, interpret it.

Whenever you hear a teaching (no matter if it's from a famous preacher or an infamous preacher), verify it's approved by the Bible before accepting and following it.

The following blog posts will help you to read and interpret the Bible better.
